MULTICUT® the
Versatile Drill Choice for Trailer Fabrication
Graham Edwards Trailers Limited is one of the UK's
leading manufacturers of quality livestock trailers and trailer
chassis for horse boxes etc. Based in Full Sutton near Stamford
Bridge, North Yorkshire, the manufacture of these popular trailers
involves varying degrees of metalforming and fabrication in the
production process.
The non-welded functions of the fabrication process
include the bolting on of accessories such as towing gear and
wheel jacks, as well as the securing of body panels and flooring.
These production tasks involve the drilling of a number of holes
of varying sizes and G&J Hall's versatile step drill Multicut®,
is the preferred choice for a number of the drilling processes
in use.
" Using G&J Hall's Multicut step drills
speeds up the fabrication process due to the fact that we do
not have to keep changing drill bits for the drilling of different
sized holes. They are tough reliable tools which do the job without
the fear of drills breaking in the work piece or injuring staff
through jamming and twisting the operators wrist."
G&J Hall's Powerbor® holecutting system
is also used in the fabrication process at Graham Edwards Trailers,
producing larger holes in metal tubes used in the manufacturing
process.
The POWERBOR© range of electromagnetic offers
a choice of cutting capacities from 12mm to 100mm. Each machine
carries a full 12 months warranty and a full selection of complementary
arbors and accessories are also available.
In addition to the 12 month comprehensive standard
warranty are dual carrying handles for greater manoeuvrability,
improved high density magnet performance, reversible handles
for use in restrictive areas, safe and convenient control panels,
corrosive resistant tangle free cable and a free protective carrying
case and safety strap. The POWERBOR© range has a unique
portability providing the ideal solution to even the most difficult
drilling applications either on-site or in the workshop. Incorporating
a reversible variable speed motor as standard, the machine can
be readily used for a wide range of both drilling and tapping
applications. The highest capacity drill, the PB100, is available
with a swivel base option allowing the machine to be firmly attached
to the workpiece, taking the weight and making it easier to position
the cutting tool more accurately.
The Job Just Got Fourteen Times Easier with
a G&J HALL MULTICUT® HSS Step Drill
Just one Multicut® step-drill can achieve
as much as 14 twist drills or hole-saws from one tool - saving
time and money - 14 times easier for burr-free holes
ngineers throughout the world are achieving consistently
reliable, cost-effective results in a wide range of drilling
applications using G&J Hall's high-performance range of MULTICUT® HSS
step drills.
MULTICUT® is capable of producing or enlarging
holes in materials up to 10mm thick and is designed for use with
power tools or pedestal drilling machines for an extensive range
of industrial applications. Each step produces specific sized,
parallel holes, with the maximum material thickness being determined
by the length of step.
The ground profile of the MULTICUT® allows
controlled drilling up to 60mm diameter in a hand-held drill.
The non-slip point eliminates the need for a pre-drilled hole,
whilst the smooth multi-flute action creates round burr-free
holes.
In addition to an extensive range of general application
tooling, MULTICUT® offers a range of dedicated products for
electrical and other specific applications. Many of the MULTICUT® drill
diameters are key electrical sizes, whilst ISO and PG conduit
sizes are covered by tools specifically for these applications.
MULTICUT® drills are manufactured from High
Speed Steel, resulting in long tool life and extra durability.
Other value-added benefits include controlled drilling; burr-free
holes; up to 14 conventional drill sizes on one tool; drills
material up to 10mm thick; non-slip point - needs no centre punch;
no flexing of drill whilst drilling; multi-flute design; drills
diameters from 4mm to 60mm; enlarges existing holes; shank will
not slip in chuck. |
